Denver Headshot Session Prep
I am so honored to create these images with you! Feel free to reach out via text to share images, ideate or ask questions.
Denver Headshot Considerations
Intentionality, bespoke curation.
Personalized art that honors your gifts and offerings.
WARDROBE
Choose pieces you feel great in - things that feel like you. Solid colors, subtle textures, layers, fabric with drape all photograph beautifully. Avoid prominent logos and very small, busy patterns.
Half hour session: Plan for 2 looks.
Full hour experience: Plan for 3–4 looks.
As you decide on wardrobe items, send me photos of your options. I’m happy to help you narrow them down and it will allow me to choose the perfect backdrop for your session.
Arrive 10 minutes ahead of our agreed upon meeting time, fully ready to be photographed head to toe in your first look - shoes may be photographed - I suggest starting in your least favorite of your selections as it takes a moment to drop in and warm up. You'll be glowing and flowing by the end of the session! Bring the rest of your wardrobe selections hangers. Layers like jackets and blazers are always welcome and add a quick bit of variety to your headshot images.
ARRIVE 10 MINUTES EARLY
Please plan to arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled session time to allow time for parking, paying for parking and getting settled.
Your session begins at the scheduled start time, arriving early allows us to take advantage of our full session time.
EXTEND YOUR HEADSHOT SESSION
Want another look or a little more breathing room? Add time in increments of 15 minutes for $90. You can add time in advance or day-of, as my schedule allows.
In studio: Going beyond an hour? We’ll just need to add an additional studio hour at the rate of $125 in addition to your added session time.
Come wearing your first look.
Bring additional wardrobe on hangers.
Arrive 10 minutes early.
I can't wait to meet you!
If meeting in Cherry Creek, please download the Pay By Phone app and enter your vehicle and payment information for seamless parking.
WHAT TO BRING
Props: A few thoughtfully chosen items can add personality and context to branding sessions. Feel free to bring anything that illustrates your work or might help tell your story. Share your ideas prior to the session for brainstorming and planning.
Shoes: We’ll do a bit of walking between backdrops. If the shoes you’re planning to be photographed in are difficult to walk in, feel free to bring a comfortable pair.
Changing clothes: Depending on our location/backdrops, there may be private spaces for wardrobe changes. A quick shift via a jacket or shirt over a camisole is fully welcome.
Keep it light: We’ll be moving as we shoot, so bring only what you’re comfortable carrying with you. Be sure to bring any wardrobe changes along rather than leaving anything in the car that you might need. I welcome a friend or family member to help carry items, or a dog handler if you’d like to include your fur babe.
