2021 Denver Newborn Photographer Year in Review

Ahhh 2021 you were full of such fun goodness. I adored seeing so many clients for over 180 sessions this year. What a huge blessing it was to celebrate with all of you!

Gosh this pregnant mama just has this pure sweet goodness glow about her, doesn’t she? A TOTAL honor to capture her sweet baby bump!

So…full disclosure, this session didn’t go the way we planned. The location we had agreed upon before the session was forecasting some terrible weather and we were able to dodge full on rain in Wash Park.

We did still get wet. haha

I also had my car broken into during the shoot. They were so sweet to offer to help. I’ll be honest, it took a good week before I could look at the photos without wondering the exact moment/photo where my window was bashed in and my handbag from Italy was stolen. Oy. Haha. This session was meant to be moody.

Cheers to finding joy in crazy late October weather and chaos out of our control. Perhaps a bit like giving birth.

Denver Lifestyle Newborn Session | Welcome Baby W

Never have I ever posted half of a blog post because I’m so thrilled for the world to see this session, ASAP even if it means photo by photo added as I edit!! Meet the photo session that brought this experience my way! Thrilled to share it with you! When I first arrived at their home, I was a little concerned as it was the cloudiest day we’ve seen in a LONG time here in this sunny city of Denver. My Denver Newborn Photographer eye for detail was a bit worried about camera settings and potentially needing to use flash. Silly to worry. I’m no rookie and I know light so well! Especially the light within second bedrooms turned newborn baby nurseries.

This mama. G O D D E S S vibes thru and thru! Brand new mom, baby, nursery and family. Cheers to celebrating new beginnings and incredible newborn baby miracles! I adore the details in this session so much and I will never feel unsure about a cloudy day with accessible window light again. ;)

As a Denver newborn and maternity photographer, there are some people and sessions that you walk away from with that big big smile and the sweet feeling of thrill to look at the images we captured together. These to parents to be were just that!

Would you believe these two just landed in Denver? When she reached out to schedule her maternity session, I was so thrilled! I knew we were a good fit and that we’d have a great time together. I think I laughed more during this session than I have all year.

The most exciting part of this session - there are two baby girls in that adorable bump!!!

This handsome boy fit in his mom’s sweet arms the first time we met. Feels like a lifetime ago she commissioned me to photograph his newborn session over in Park Hill!!! While he’s always been SO CUTE, I was shocked at his model status?!?!

So this sweet fam was literally the cutest thing ever. The family purchased all of the images from our time together and I so enjoyed editing these future memories for this sweet crew.

Denver Lifestyle newborn sessions have been feeding my soul lately. These gloomy days give such beautiful contrast within the homes of my client. We had such a fun time and I just adore the colors and tones in their images!

The older sibling element is one of my favs to document. Theres so much excitement around being a big brother and I love that this crew wanted to include him as much as the new arrival.

These first few brotherhood moments just make my heart smile.

Denver Baby Photographer | Three Month Photo Milestone Session

THIS CREW. Adore them so much!! Had the pleasure of meeting them when the big one was the little one’s size. SOOOOO makes my Denver Baby Photographer heart smile when I get to see my families grow from two, to three, to four and beyond.

I just want to offer the disclaimer that this is not a shot I set up but I adore it so much! :) Did I mention there’s no personality in this crew?? :)

Denver Newborn Photographer | Welcome Crew

So I was recently thinking that maybe I should give free photos to people with cute dogs and babies. Because the combo is literally my favorite thing in life. My heart might have exploded during this session. If you know me, you know I adore dogs (AND BABIES!!!) and I used to have a sweet little old english bulldog. This handsome pup Bodie totally stole the show and I didn’t complain one bit….

Are you kidding me with those little teeth?! Little newborn babe Crew didn’t seem to mind the snuggles….OMG tell me this isn’t the sweetest thing!! :)

I love love love the texture in the next few newborn photos!! The rug with all the gorgeous lines and fibers, the tiny, soft little hairs on the top of Crew’s head…and those five tiny newborn baby toes. There’s something about their little nugget toes that just makes me really sit with the realization that all humans come into the world, birthed as these tiny little baby people that can’t control a darn thing on their little bod aside from their mouths. Gosh it’s such a pleasure to work with these gorgeous souls during this gorgeous transition from the wombside.

Calm, sweet, serene and swaddled. I love this gorgeous blanket that celebrates his arrival and the name that was chosen for him. What a handsome little dude!!!
